The HR Intern will work with the HR Generalist and will have the opportunity to get involved in many current special projects, especially in the areas of on-boarding and HRIS.  This is a temporary position suitable for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources.  The person in this position will gain knowledge of various HR processes, working with the HR information system, and other HR functions. It is largely administrative in nature. This unpaid Summer Internship lasts from May-August (flexibility is available on the schedule). School credit is an option, with university approval.

Essential Functions

  • Convert prior and current employee files to digital format via BambooHR
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of on-boarding/off-boarding processes
  • Provide general administrative support, including on-going HRIS data entry and employee file maintenance
  • Assist with HR compliance audits (job descriptions/authorized drivers/E-verify)
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

 Qualifications

  •  Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and basic computer systems and equipment (scanner, fax machine, etc.)
  • Basic data entry skills
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
